Credentialing is the process of submitting your application to become an in-network provider with an insurance carrier.  

 

The main reason providers want to become credentialed with insurance companies is to receive full reimbursement of the insurance allowable, instead of a percentage of charges.  Additionally, the provider may receive more patient referrals from contracted insurance carriers.  

 

The credentialing and re-credentialing process is complicated and time-consuming.  Delays and frequently changing requirements from various payers are common.  In order to be contracted, providers must complete lengthy applications with information such as schooling, licensing, experience, liability insurance coverage, languages spoken, etc. Additionally providers may have to be actively enrolled in CAQH and/or PECOS.

 

Credential MDs completes the credentialing process from start to finish. Providers simply need to share with us a Tax ID, NPI, Medical License, or any other requirements by the payers.
